Activewear is built to move. About three quarters of these styles wick moisture, and most are lightweight polyester or poly/spandex blends around 3.5 to 7 ounces. Sport-Tek anchors the category with jerseys, performance tees, training jackets and pullovers in adult and youth sizes, so a whole program can match. OGIO and A4 add technical layers and team basics.

Many styles have heat-transfer labels for tag-free comfort, and some are made with recycled polyester. A few also carry UPF ratings for outdoor training.

Performance fabrics take screen printing well for numbers, names and race designs. Embroidery works well on heavier training jackets and quarter-zips for coaches and staff.
